As you can see, a sitting Congressman, Hakeem Jeffries, contributed $2,500 to Illapa’s opponent in a race well outside of his district. Jeffries has been one of the most vocal opposers of the left in recent years, and his focus on bringing down progressives only hurts Democrats by further inflaming the two sides against one another. John - why does it feel like the establishment is fighting progressives harder than they fight actually declared fascists in the Republican party?
