Happy #GivingTuesday! After shopping on Cyber Monday and Black Friday, today is a day to give back to the organizations that you care about. Our work is only possible thanks to generous donations from people like you.

 

In 2019, your donations allowed us to hold our 8th Autism Campus Inclusion training, fight for justice with campaigns such as #WeAreStillWaiting and #WorkWithUs, and use our proxy calling system to make sure that everyone’s voices are heard.

 

To honor the creation of the proxy calling system, we won’t be calling you today to ask for donations. Instead, we’re asking you to help us get the word out on social media. Last year, we raised $8,000 -- this year, our goal is $10,000!

If we hit our $10,000 goal, we will destroy an old phone to celebrate the fact that we can participate in civic engagement without phone calls.

In the coming year, the voices of disabled advocates will be more necessary than ever, as we weigh in on policy issues that are critical to our community. ASAN will be working tirelessly to make sure all people with disabilities have the tools we need to access those conversations and make our voices heard. We’re calling on you (but not calling you on the phone) to make that work possible. Reaching our fundraising goal today is critical to achieving our policy goals throughout the year. Let’s make it happen together!
