The Republican philosophy of limited federal government means that unfortunately we often get tagged as the party of 'No'. We know the government shouldn't pay for everything and unlike Democrats, we don't offer free solutions to every problem.
The cost of higher education is a prime example of this. Congress needs to act, but Biden’s student loan forgiveness is not the answer.
We need conservative solutions that empower students without contributing to more inflation in our economy.
My thoughts on student loan forgiveness
My campaign is based on homemade bread solutions and ingenuity.
I want the Republican party to be the party that votes "No" when it comes to printing more money to treat symptoms AND comes back to the table with real solutions that get at the root cause of these issues.
We should NOT forgive student loans BUT we can work to:
- Make higher eduction more affordable
- Encourage trade schools and alternative paths to lucrative, critical careers
- Ensure borrowers are fully informed when they take out their loans
- Ensure institutions and schools are transparent and accountable for costs & value
- Stop inflationary spending that balloons the cost of high education in a broken system
Conservatism can solve the problems our nation faces. Help me build a party that says "No" to irresponsible spending, "No" to inefficient programs, and "No" to bureaucracy... AND empowers individuals, communities, and states with the local solutions that will make out country even better.
