Julian Lehrer
I’m running for President of ASU Young Democrats to foster a sense of community and love within the club, creating a space for Sun Devils to grow both individually and within the community as a whole, and turning Arizona blue in 2020.

Cameron Adams
My name is Cameron Adams and I am running to be your next Executive Vice President of the ASU Young Democrats. I am currently the Vice President of Membership for the ASU Young Democrats as well as the Treasurer for the Young Democrats of Arizona. Outside of young Dems, I have also worked on multiple campaigns and am now the Field Director for a city council campaign. I hope to use my experience as an organizer as well as my connections within the Arizona political community to help lead the ASU Young Dems and turn Arizona blue in 2020!

Jose Munguia
My name is Jose Munguia and I am running for Vice President of Membership. My goal for this organization is to grow its membership by having young dems be more active on campus and collaborating with more organizations. I would also like to do some tabling outside the MU, such as tabling by Barrett/Hassy residence halls or by the GLV. It is also important that members feel they have a place within the club so I will be pushing to have more socials. Lastly, I want to build up the membership on the other campuses through campus liaisons and tabling at those campuses.

John Adamson
I am proud to announce my candidacy for the position of ASU Young Democrats’ Social Chair. In my short time with the club, I feel like I have found my calling in not only serving all of you, but serving the greater ASU community as well. With plenty of experience in planning and coordinating events, and being described as “very cool and very social” by Patrick Pagnozzi, I feel that I have what it takes to represent you all as Social Chair of this chapter. I have plenty of ideas and excitement, and am ready to take on 2020!

Gabriella Varela
Hi, I’m Gabriella Varela and I would be honored to serve as your Treasurer. My goal for 2020 is for our chapter to succeed in turning Arizona blue. If we fundraise and use our USG funds to the best of our capabilities, we will be able to issue gas cards, purchase advertising supplies, and ensure there are fewer financial barriers for people to effectively participate in our club. Lastly, having experience with USG has shown me the persistence necessary to meet our club’s needs. I am confident in my ability to fulfill these goals, and I’m asking for your vote!

John Reuss
Hello! My name is John Reuss and I am running to be Treasurer. I am a first-year student on the Tempe campus, studying Political Science and Transborder Studies. Outside of YD’s, I am an intern for USG and will make sure that they will give us the funds we need in order to be successful. 2020 is going to be the most important year of our lives and as your Treasurer, I will ensure that we are using our funds to benefit us the most as an organization so we can help turn AZ blue in 2020!

Amber Rivera
In 2019, the first Latina in the history of Sandra Day O’Connor Elementary School was elected to the position of Student Council Secretary. I am excited to announce that 10 years later, I am pursuing the position of Secretary once again. I found my home with the ASU Young Democrats. My passion for writing, my attention to detail, and my experience in being an expert note taker are just a few of the reasons I believe I would serve this organization best as the 2020 ASU Young Democrats Secretary. I hope to be able to gain your trust and earn your support!

Liam Huggins
Before I joined Young Democrats my second semester at ASU, I found myself lost with no real connection to what I was doing at ASU. It wasn’t until some really special people in my life asked me to come join them with what they were doing at ASU YDs and with that I found that connection and space I was searching for. After all the amazing opportunities that have developed through my past year in the club I understood that it was time for me to contribute greater to this gift that has given me so much. Now I wish to help further the growth of this club by giving my all to the position of secretary. It is my ultimate goal to help more people searching for a home to find it here in Young Democrats.

Orion DiFranco
Hey everyone! I’m Orion DiFranco, and I’m running for Secretary of Young Democrats. Serving as your Policy Committee Chair has granted me a firsthand look at the incredible potential that exists within YDs. As your Secretary, I hope to work alongside all of you in helping our organization capitalize on this potential as we enter 2020 — that means publishing meeting minutes efficiently and transparently, relaying important information about our events, and ensuring that our local communities are informed on all the fantastic work we’re doing. I’m happy to answer any questions, and I hope to earn your vote!
