March On Pride Month 2022: Celebrating LGBTQ+ Women

Friend, Happy Pride Month!

While we recognize that this Pride Month comes in the midst of unprecedented attacks on reproductive and LGBTQ+ rights, we hope you still find a moment to celebrate love and equality this June.

Throughout Pride Month, we’re celebrating inspirational LGBTQ+ women in public service, while also taking action to demand that the Senate pass the Equality Act and protect LGBTQ+ rights at the federal level.

Today, we’re spotlighting Karine Jean-Pierre, our White House Press Secretary!

Karine Jean-Pierre

Jean-Pierre began serving as the White House Press Secretary last month and has already demonstrated her commitment to upholding the truth about President Biden’s Democratic agenda and combatting far-right misinformation.

Notably, Jean-Pierre is the first Black woman, immigrant, and openly LGBTQ+ person to serve as Press Secretary – she’s truly making history in her role.

Karine Jean-Pierre: I hope that when [my daughter] sees me on TV she thinks to herself, I can do this and I can do more.

Before serving as Press Secretary, Jean-Pierre was a trusted advisor to President Biden in both his White House administration and his 2020 campaign for President. We couldn’t be happier to see her shine in her new role!

Now, we’re asking you to take action for LGBTQ+ rights.

Quick Action: Click here to email your Senators and demand they pass the Equality Act >>

In just days, the ultra-conservative Supreme Court plans to overturn Roe v. Wade – endangering not just the right to abortion, but also critical LGBTQ+ protections.

With the barrage of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation being passed in state legislatures – including Florida’s notorious “Don’t Say Gay” bill, which was just signed into law – we need LGBTQ+ protections at the federal level.

The Equality Act would rectify these attacks on LGBTQ+ rights and equality, while also protecting our communities from future acts of discrimination.

So take action now: Email your Senator and demand that they pass the Equality Act >>

Thank you for taking action with us.
