** Another Week, Another Inflation Record
------------------------------------------------------------
It was a very eventful week on the campaign trail here in Wisconsin. First and foremost, thank you to all the followers for continuing to write in your concerns and comments. Between Email and Social Media, we had roughly 1,000 messages.
Of course, the big story this week is has to be the economy. It goes without saying, the results are not pretty. Overall inflation has now reached 8.6% - The largest since 1981! For those curious, Joe Biden was a Senator then.
Gas is always the focal point, but let’s not overlook other parts of the economy that are getting hit hard.
* Utilities are up 30.2%
* Dairy is up 15.9%
* Meat is up 12.3%
* Fruits & Vegetables are up 8.2%
* Transportation is up 7.9%
Inflation- Too many dollars chasing too few goods. Again, this brings me to my frustration with not just Biden, but Glenn Grothman. Another week, and yet another week of inaction. I know Glenn has always had it out for the Dairy Industry, but to see these figures and not fight for those impacted is unacceptable. Again, it is time that we stop the reckless printing & spending of money- this can get much worse before it gets better.
** Alzheimer’s Awareness
------------------------------------------------------------
Many of you know this already, but this week was the kickoff for several Alzheimer’s Associations. I volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association in the Fox Cities and was excited to share this with our following to increase awareness. The conference this week was focused on helping caregivers understand what resources and organizations are available to them to help them get through difficult times. Alzheimer’s is a terrible disease, and no one should have to go through it. It has touched my family and friends, and I hope to be a part of bringing a cure in the near future. If anyone would like to join me at an Alzheimer’s awareness walk, there will be one on October 1st at Fox valley, September 17th in Manitowoc, September 23 in Oshkosh, and September 24 in Sheboygan.
