For over 20 years, GLSEN's National School Climate Survey has shown that LGBTQ+ youth frequently experience bullying, discrimination, and other forms of victimization in K–12 schools simply because they are LGBTQ+.
Amid relentless attacks on LGBTQ+ students by right-wing lawmakers, we’re proud to see President Biden issue an Executive Order to protect queer and trans students everywhere. In addition to healthcare and school safety, the White House included recommendations for collecting data on the experiences of LGBTQ+ students.
And now it’s time for Congress to act.
Tell Congress to pass the LGBTQ Data Inclusion Act.
For LGBTQ+ justice, we must include the experiences of young people on a federal level.
