For years, Kurt Schrader (D-OR) has been one of Big Pharma’s best friends in Congress. President Biden supports lowering drug prices, as do the vast majority of Congressional Democrats. But Schrader is one of a tiny handful of corporate-friendly Democrats who are watering down — and at times, outright blocking — legislation to lower drug prices.

The good news is that last month, Schrader lost his primary to Jamie McLeod-Skinner. McLeod-Skinner defeated Schrader by slamming him for taking $650,000 in campaign donations from Big Pharma. In her very first campaign ad, she told voters “I’m running for Congress to lower prescription drug prices.”¹

But it turns out Schrader is the ultimate sore loser. He has refused to back McLeod-Skinner in the general election — even though it’s a competitive district, and her Republican opponent has a far-right agenda and close ties to Donald Trump.²

McLeod-Skinner won’t be getting any help from Schrader. And she definitely won’t be getting money from Big Pharma corporations. That’s why she needs our support!
