People For Supporter, So far there have been only three public hearings from the January 6 Committee investigating the insurrection and the findings they’ve revealed become more and more shocking. From former Attorney General Bill Barr telling Trump that his Big Lie election claims were “bullshit” to just how dangerously close Trump’s mob was to carrying out acts of violence against Vice President Pence, we expect even more appalling and compelling evidence to be released in the weeks ahead. With two more hearings expected next week alone and several more in the weeks ahead, we want to know if you’ve been keeping up with the coverage – and get your initial reactions to the findings that have been released. Take part two of our Insurrection Accountability Survey today and let us know! >> Q1: Have you been following the January 6 Committee’s public hearings and if yes, in what ways have you been following the coverage? ◯ I’ve been watching the hearings live as they happen >> ◯ I’ve seen news coverage or highlights from the hearings after they happen >> ◯ I’ve been reading about the coverage in various news outlets >> ◯ I haven’t been following the coverage at all >> Even as the committee’s hearings play out, more revelations are coming to light. Just a couple days ago news broke that Ginni Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, may have been even more involved in the plot to overturn the election than originally thought – as email correspondence between Thomas and Trump election lawyer John Eastman was handed over to the committee. Now, the committee is requesting that Thomas provide testimony regarding her involvement. [1, 2] With an initial report on their findings not expected until September, the committee still has a lot of work to do before we learn all the details that led up to the insurrection and the events that unfolded that day. But our fight to hold those involved in the insurrection accountable and to defend our democracy from future attacks remains more important than ever. Take our latest survey now and let us know your opinion about the hearings so far >> Thank you for your advocacy, support, and feedback as we continue the fight. In solidarity, Zach, People For the American Way
