This year, Congress threw the USPS a lifeline, enacting the Postal Service Reform Act to shore up the USPS’s finances and allow it to bring in new revenue with new services.
Unfortunately, Postmaster General Louis DeJoy doesn’t care. He’s still insisting on closing locations, selling equipment, raising postage rates, and slowing down service.
Louis DeJoy can’t cut his way out of the USPS’s debt. Congress is now allowing the USPS to provide check cashing and postal banking, provide wifi, or sell transit passes.
We can transform the USPS and keep it running for generations to come.
Here at the Six PAC, we raise grassroots donations directly to Democrats running to represent rural areas. And rural areas depend on the USPS more than anyone.
Postal Banking can fight Wall Street’s power, ensure banking access to even the most remote communities, and provide the USPS critical revenue.
It’s just one of services the USPS can provide – if the USPS Board of Governors makes it happen.
Thanks for fighting back,
The Six PAC
The Six PAC is a Federal PAC created to support six carefully selected rural and progressive Democrats. We will focus on candidates who need early money, who face tough primaries against establishment candidates, and who are committed to building power for their community. We will accept no corporate money. This is grassroots money for grassroots candidates. Chip in $3 or more to our work here.
