I’m Ashley Judd. You may know me as an actress, a basketball fan, an
activist, or as my mother Naomi Judd’s daughter. Or, you may know me for
speaking out about sexual harassment by a powerful man toward me early in
my career.

Today, I want to speak out about a different powerful man -- Mitch
McConnell. In the Senate, McConnell built his career doing the bidding of
powerful interests while trampling on everyday people.

Mitch McConnell is up for reelection. We need to start working to defeat
him right now. And we can, by donating to [ [link removed] ]a special fund that will go
to whichever candidate Kentuckians nominate to take on McConnell in 2020.
This fund will ensure the winning Democrat can begin their fight focusing
on voters instead of fundraising.

[ [link removed] ]Can you donate $3 a month (or more if you can) to the KY-Sen 2020
Democratic Nominee Fund and the PCCC’s work to defeat Mitch McConnell and
elect progressives across the country? (Or, [ [link removed] ]donate just once here.)

While shepherding huge tax cuts for big corporations and the wealthy
through the Senate, Mitch McConnell has blocked good plans to reduce
student debt, equal pay for women, and an increased minimum wage.

He has fought healthcare reform at every turn. He buried Alexandria
Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal (for now) with a sham vote in the Senate.
And he has blocked measures to protect our elections from foreign
interference.

After years of damaging obstruction under President Obama, McConnell has
prevented hundreds of bills passed by the House from even being considered
by the Senate -- so the Senate can use its time instead to rubber stamp
hundreds of extreme right wing, anti-choice judges nominated by President
Trump.

This April, McConnell told a group or supporters that he would be the
“Grim Reaper” of progressive policies if Democrats win the presidency but
Republicans keep control of the Senate, adding, “None of that stuff is
going to pass.”

In Kentucky, some great Democrats have stepped up to defeat McConnell in
2020. The day the nomination decision is made, the candidate that gets the
nod will need to hit the ground running to defeat McConnell in one of the
toughest, but most important Senate races of our lives.

[ [link removed] ]We can do our part today by starting a monthly donation to the KY-Sen
2020 Democratic Nominee Fund so when the time comes, the Democrat who
takes on McConnell can focus on talking to voters, not just fundraising.

Thanks for being a bold progressive.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told PCCC members, "The majority of Americans are with us on the policies. Americans support Medicare for All, expanding Social Security benefits, gun reform, debt-free college, and a $15 minimum wage. Bold progressive values are popular EVERYWHERE. Together, we have the people. Together, with your help, we’ll have the votes." Chip in $3 here: [link removed]
