*Administration Appointments*
*TOPEKA* – Governor Laura Kelly today announced appointments to the following state boards and committee.
*Board of Accountancy*
Purpose: To license and regulate certified public accountants (CPA’s). The Board of Accountancy is a regulatory body authorized to carry out the laws and administrative regulations governing CPA’s. The board is disciplinary and has the authority to conduct investigations.
* Aron Dunn, Valley Center
* Lucky DeFries, Topeka (reappointment)
* Julie Spiegel, Manhattan (reappointment)

State Board of Technical Professions*
Purpose: Registers and licenses engineers, architects, surveyors, and landscape architects.
* Wendy Ornelas, Manhattan (reappointment)
* John Lilak, Prairie Village (reappointment)
*
Capitol Preservation Committee*
Purpose of Board: Approve all proposals for renovation of all areas of the state capitol, the capitol's visitor center and the grounds surrounding the capitol; preserve the proper décor; assure art or artistic displays are historically accurate; oversee the reconfiguration or redecoration of committee rooms.
