June is a great month, folks. School is out for the summer, we celebrate Pride, honor the end of slavery on Juneteenth, and recognize Dads on Father’s Day.

But June is also a notoriously difficult month for online fundraising—and right now, our numbers are plummeting.

For those who don’t know, the dreaded “summer slump” is when grassroots campaigns like ours see a sudden and often drastic drop in fundraising during the summer months.

It makes sense, right? Folks are logging off and enjoying their summers, and deservedly so. The only problem is we usually see a summer slump closer to mid-July or early August—NOT before summer has officially started!
