From the mass shooting in Buffalo last month to other senseless acts of mass murder around the country, these terrorists often cite one thing: The white supremacist “Great Replacement Theory.”

This terrible ideology is used to justify islamophobia, xenophobia, antisemitism, racism, and mass murder, and it’s a key tool of the white nationalist movement in our country.

If we’re going to even have a progressive movement and build a true multi-racial democracy, we have to push back hard against this kind of vile white supremacy.

That’s why I’m proud to stand beside my fellow Justice Democrat, Rep. Jamaal Bowman, and other progressive leaders in the House of Representatives and around the country as we fight back against this racist rhetoric. Earlier this month, the House of Representatives passed a resolution to condemn this theory and to call for an end to white supremacy. Our opponent Mark Green voted against the resolution.

We need to come together to say enough is enough. That’s why I’m joining progressive leaders from every corner of the U.S. and calling on an end to this “replacement theory.”
