Friends,
I’ve been looking forward to this announcement.
The core of this campaign is about transparency, energy, and actually listening to people.
But if that’s going to be our approach, it can’t just be words. It has to be real.
So today, we’re announcing our 1,000 Doors of Summer project.
It’s simple. Starting this weekend, I am personally going to knock on 1,000 doors throughout the district.
Democrats, Republicans, Independents. Urban, suburban, rural.
The idea is to show up, listen, and use what we learn to build an agenda that actually reflects what people need and want.
As always, I’m going to keep you posted about what I’m hearing as we go. Doorknocking = great stories.
Politics is too remote, too angry. I want to use this campaign not just to win an election, but to help push politics in a healthier direction. 1,000 doors is a good step.
It’s going to take a major chunk of time, and that means somewhat less time fundraising. But I think it’s worth it — and I’m hoping you can help offset that by supporting the effort and chipping in here:

Here’s to trying to do things the right way.
Best,
