Quarter One 2022
Bush Institute Briefing
The Bush Institute is focused on ensuring opportunity for all, strengthening democracy, and advancing free societies.

“At the Bush Institute, we celebrate the goodness of our Nation and pursue with optimism the values of freedom, opportunity, accountability, and compassion. Recent tragedies at home, the war in Ukraine, and the dire situation in Afghanistan make it challenging to be positive, but we remain steadfast.”

Policy In focus

Creating opportunity for kids

The Bush Institute’s Education and Workforce Pipeline tool examines data from the workforce, higher education,
K-12, and early childhood. The unique resource can help state leaders create policies that make a difference for their young people. An accompanying Bright Spots page highlights states showing impressive improvements and states with opportunities to accelerate outcomes for young people.

Response to the war in Ukraine

David J. Kramer, the Bradford M. Freeman Managing Director of Global Policy at the Bush Institute, has provided commentary and expertise on how the U.S. and international community should respond to Russia. President Bush released a statement which you may have seen in the Wall Street Journal and CBS News Online.
