Together, we can push Congress to take action to support our families – but only if we speak out now.

John,

If Congress is going to move on another economic recovery package before the midterm elections, it will be before August recess and negotiations are in full swing. So this is our best (and maybe last) chance to push them on investing in the care infrastructure our families and communities need to survive.

From our conversations on the Hill in DC, we know the next major economic package will be released soon and major investments in Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) and Child Care are still in play.

Our Senators are listening to us, but there’s still a lot of work to do. Billions of dollars are on the line – and this is a big opportunity to share our concerns and solutions for better care systems with our electeds.

It’s not too late to send your message to your Senators, urging them to support Home and Community Based Care!

Send a message to your Senators today, and urge them to invest in HCBS.

With care,

Friend,

We’re two years into the pandemic, and caregivers are beyond exhausted.

We’re exhausted from trying to find consistent care for our children, older family members, and loved ones with disabilities – and advocating for fair wages for care workers. We need relief now.

As Congress makes one final push for the next major economic package, we need them to invest in the care infrastructure our families need to survive. Billions of dollars are on the line and would help so many people all across the country. Together, we can push them to take action to support our families – but only if we speak out now.

Tell your Senators now to invest in child care, Home and Community-Based Services, and fair wages for care workers today.

Care is the foundation of our economy. But for too long, unpaid family caregivers and underpaid care workers that provide direct care to older adults and people with disabilities have been passed over for Federal investments.

That’s why we’re teaming up with the Care Can’t Wait coalition and families everywhere to celebrate care and call for policies that will enable more people to get the care they need. We’re calling it “Carnations for Care” and we’re sending our message straight to Congress.

We must honor family caregivers and care workers, show the beauty of their work, and highlight their frustrations by pushing Washington to take action.

Why “Carnations for Care”? Carnations are often the foundation of the most beautiful bouquets, despite being thought of as “throwaway flowers” – like caregivers in our homes and communities.

Send your message today.

Together, we can move Congress to include care investments in the next economic package that is currently being negotiated. Billions are on the line and the moment to share our needs is now. Take action with us today and let’s win better care infrastructure for families and care workers across the country now.
