Today is Giving Tuesday, and I’m sure you’re receiving a lot of emails from organizations that need and deserve your support. So I’m going to keep our pitch short.
The next year will be the most important in J Street’s history.
We’re going up against a president who poses a threat to everything we stand for. He believes his unwavering backing of the settler movement makes him the most pro-Israel president ever. More alarmingly, he believes his blind support for Israel’s right-wing factions qualifies him as a great friend to the Jewish people -- and deserving of our “loyalty.”
No organization is better equipped to give the public the other side of the story; to expose how this president’s policies have been disastrous for hopes of Mideast peace, harmful to the American Jewish community and damaging to our country’s reputation.
And no organization is better equipped to help replace Trump and his enablers with leaders who understand that supporting Israel means opposing the occupation and working toward a just, viable and sustainable peace.
If we’re going to be successful, we’ll need your help. Giving Tuesday is our most important fundraising day of the year, and until midnight, every dollar you give will be doubled.
