Rosario Dawson here, reaching out on behalf of a personal inspiration of mine, Cheri Beasley.

I’m a long-time supporter of Cheri Beasley. I had her back when she was Chief Justice, and I am proud to have supported her race for U.S. Senate since day one.

She has dedicated her life to fighting for others — just like her mom taught her. She went from public defender to judge to the first African American woman to serve as Chief Justice of North Carolina. But now, she needs us to stand with her.

She’s facing a major fundraising deadline soon (one of the official FEC ones — AKA she and her opponent will have to report their fundraising numbers publicly). So it’s super important that she reports a BIG number.

We need to show up for Cheri and show the world that we have her back.

I know Cheri is someone we can trust to be a voice for the people and for justice.

Her opponent on the other hand is yet another DC insider who has rewritten the rules to help himself and the special interests that fund his campaigns. While Cheri rejects corporate PAC money, her opponent is raking in money from corporate interests who know he will be a reliable vote for them.

Dark money is flooding North Carolina, and you know exactly the type of nasty attacks Republican super PACs are going to keep throwing her way.

So we have to help Cheri fight back. She told me that they set their biggest fundraising goal yet, so I really want to help her reach it before the FEC deadline in just a few days.
