On Wednesday the EPA announced that current drinking water standards for several PFAS chemicals are unsafe and should be dramatically lower!

EWG and EWG Action Fund have been ringing the alarm on PFAS chemicals for years. Now the EPA is finally acknowledging how dangerous these chemicals really are. But the agency is still allowing the chemical industry to recklessly dump these chemicals in our air and water. Unbelievable!

We need Congress to step in and stop polluters from contaminating our drinking water with these dangerous chemicals. Can we count on you to join us?

PFAS chemicals are often used in consumer products like cooking pans, food wrappers and clothing for their nonstick and grease-resistant properties. Also known as “forever chemicals,” PFAS chemicals never break down in the environment and are toxic at very low levels. They have been linked to cancer, hormone disruption and reproductive system harm.

We need Congress to step in and STOP chemical companies from recklessly endangering our health with these toxic chemicals. But it’s going to take all of us to convince Congress to stand up to the chemical industry.
