Dear Friend,
The erosion of women's reproductive rights at the national level reminds us how important state legislatures are in determining quality of life and access to care along with many other issues that fall on states to codify when federal laws change or fall short.
I am proud to have cast the deciding vote for the passage of Delaware's Equal Rights Amendment in 2018 and I am proud to have recently voted to expand abortion access by allowing nurse practitioners to prescribe abortion medication. Currently the General Assembly is looking into other ways we can expand access to reproductive healthcare not only for Delawareans but for women coming from other states seeking care.
From championing women's rights to protecting our environment to ensuring every Delaware child is reading on level by the end of third grade, my colleagues and I are working hard to serve you in Dover and in our districts.
As I shared in an earlier newsletter, I do have an opponent running to unseat me, and so I will need resources to send literature to voters touting our achievements and asking for their continued support.
