I want to let you know myself: over the next few weeks, you’ll be hearing less from me as I focus on my committee work in Congress.

Rest assured, my campaign team will continue to keep you updated on the hearings and my race here in VA-02.

It’s tough to take a step back from the campaign trail, but my oath of office always comes first. I take my Congressional duties seriously.

My greatest responsibility as a Representative isn’t to further my career – it’s to ensure that our children inherit a healthy, thriving democracy.

The GOP seems to have a problem with that, but frankly, I don’t care.

If that’s the reason I lose this race, I will never doubt that I did right by my country.
