John,
In just 11 days, voters in Illinois's newly drawn Third Congressional District will head to the polls to vote in the next big primary election for our movement.
We're backing progressive Illinois State Representative Delia Ramirez in her bid for the seat, who has a proven track record of fighting for working Illinois families. If elected, Delia will become the first Latina elected to Congress from the Midwest.
But first, we need to beat her corporate-backed opponent, Chicago Alderman Gil Villegas. With your support right now, we could reach even more voters through on-the-ground organizing and targeted ads to counter the corporate-backed PAC spending in the race.
Can you contribute $3 or any amount to our Working Families Majority Fund to help us elect Delia to Congress? Every dollar helps us reach more voters in the district through the primary on June 28:

We need more people like Delia in Congress, John.
A few months after Delia won her primary for the Illinois State Legislature in 2018, Donald Trump started separating migrant children from their parents at the border. So Delia joined hundreds of organizations and public officials from across the country on a trip to the border to stop this inhumane policy, risking arrest to shut down the mass deportation trials taking place that day.
In just three years in the state legislature, she won an elected school board for the City of Chicago, Medicaid coverage for undocumented seniors, and hundreds of millions of dollars in rental and mortgage relief for people across Illinois.
And as the co-chair of the UWF Elected Officials Chapter, she's raised thousands of dollars to support working-class women of color running for office. She has proudly refused campaign contributions from real estate developers, school privatizers, and the special interests who prey on our communities.
Delia's record is strong, and she has a path to victory. But we know Villegas’s corporate backers will stop at nothing to flood the final days of this primary with misleading mailers and attack ads as voters make up their minds — the same tactic we’ve seen in several other primaries this spring.
Contribute $3 or any amount to our Working Families Majority Fund to help us power Delia to victory. This race is down to the wire, and your grassroots support now goes a long way.
In solidarity,
Team WFP
