Friends —

Yesterday afternoon, the Senate voted to pass legislation that will cover health care costs for veterans suffering respiratory illnesses linked to exposure to toxic burn pits.

We share this news, first, because this is an important victory for millions of veterans who spent considerable time next to burn pits in Iraq and Afghanistan and have had health care benefits routinely denied.

But also because we have been fighting for this legislation for years. We have worked with members of Congress. We’ve mobilized veterans and military family members.

And we want to say thank you.

Because the truth is, our work wouldn’t be possible without the people who volunteer, sign petitions, talk to members of Congress and DONATE to fund that work.

So with the toxic exposure bill headed to President Biden’s desk, we want to ask your help so we can keep fighting for veterans and military family members:

Can you please make a $3 contribution to VoteVets today? Help us continue working to elect progressive veterans, defeat bad Republicans, and continue fighting to pass legislation important to veterans and military families.

If you've stored your info with ActBlue, we'll process your contribution instantly:

We know our political work gets a lot of attention, but this is life-saving work on the policy side. We wanted you to know.
