Since the 2020 uprisings and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen a massive uptick in the use of surveillance technology. The harms of electronic monitoring and profitable partnerships between Big Tech, ICE, and law enforcement are largely obscured from the general public even though they break apart families, criminalize activists, and perpetuate systemic inequities.

It doesn’t have to be this way. At MediaJustice, we are fighting with communities on the ground to build a world enriched - not shackled - by technology, where we are all connected, represented, and free. 

This June, we’ll be spotlighting the ways MJ is building a world without surveillance. You’ll hear from MJ staff and Network members who are on the ground, and you’ll learn how to plug in to and support our campaigns.
