In a truly terrifying development, pro-abortion groups in the United States have begun leaking the addresses of the schools that the children of Supreme Court justices attend. In an obvious attempt to threaten and harass justices Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh, the names of the schools their children attend have been posted online, along with tirades against both justices, following speculation that a majority of the Supreme Court are about to side with the overturning of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 decision that legalised abortion up to birth across the US.

The clear message being sent to the justices by this latest despicable move is: we know where your children go to school. If you want to ensure their safety, vote to keep Roe v. Wade.

The leaking of the addresses of the schools comes just days after an assassination attempt on Justice Kavanaugh. A 26-year old man, Nicholas John Roske from California was charged last week with the attempted murder of Justice Kavanaugh after he was arrested by police on the street next to the justice’s home, carrying a Glock 17 pistol and several rounds of ammunition.

Since May 2nd, three pro-life offices in the US have been firebombed and more than 50 pro-life centres and churches have been attacked and vandalised by pro-abortion campaigners.

President Biden and other high profile supporters of abortion have been very slow to condemn these violent and crazed incidents. If anything, the incendiary and vitriolic rhetoric of leading politicians in recent weeks against the pro-life movement has spurred on the increasingly dangerous and deranged attacks.

Ten days on from the attempted murder of Justice Kavanaugh and RTÉ still hasn’t reported on the incident. If the assassination attempt had been on someone like the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who supported abortion, there is no way RTÉ would have ignored it.

The double standards in the way the media covers the abortion issue is simply reprehensible.

March For Life in Gibraltar which took place on Wednesday ()

On Wednesday, hundreds attended the first March for Life in Gibraltar since last year’s abortion referendum. Pro-life supporters from across Gibraltar turned out for the march which was addressed by local and international speakers.

The organisers, Gibraltar Pro Life Movement (GPLM), said the march was being held to “celebrate, cherish and protect life”, and to campaign for more resources to be put in place to support women in unplanned pregnancy and their families.

Given the population of Gibraltar, the turnout for the march was really encouraging and is a sign that the pro-life movement there is resilient and determined, just like in Ireland, and very committed to rebuilding a culture of life without resting until it’s achieved.

Speaking at the march, Lois McLatchie, Communications Officer for ADF International, said:

“In light of the recent changes in legislation, the work to support, cherish and protect every woman and every child in Gibraltar starts now. Women deserve far better support than abortion. Every unborn child is valuable, and must be protected in accordance with human rights law. A truly progressive society cares for its most vulnerable.”

Dr Calum Millar, who is a Research Associate at the University of Oxford, told attendees at the march: “I believe that however long it takes, Gibraltar and the whole world will eventually wake from its sleep and realise that abortion steals life away, not only from the unborn child but from the infinitely valuable and precious mother who loses her infinitely valuable and precious child.”

The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly is expected to make a decision very soon on whether to end or sanction the continuation of telemedicine home abortions.

In a very distrubing new finding, 15% of women in the UK said they experienced pressure to go though with an abortion they didn't want to have.*

The HSE in Ireland recently acknowledged** that coercion is MORE likely to occur when abortions happen remotely.

Telemedicine abortion is anti-woman as well as anti-baby.

Would you like to experience working with a pro-active Human Rights organisation?

Participants on the programme will have an opportunity to network with other young people and develop skills in advocacy, campaign management and project planning.

Internships run for one-week periods and are suitable for second level (Transition year or older) and third level students.

Each intern will do 4 hours supervised work each day and will be working on areas such as social media, contact with members of the movement nationwide, project planning and contributing to support work for women and their babies.

Internships are not paid, however expenses will be covered.
