John, please join us, the National Urban League and the Congressional Caucus on Black Jewish Relations on Friday for a special edition of ADL’s Fighting Hate from Home webinar series. Let’s celebrate Juneteenth and reflect on the achievements of Black Americans and efforts — in tandem with the Jewish community and other traditionally marginalized communities — to continue fighting hate today.

We welcome two of the Black Jewish Caucus Co-Chairs — Rep. Brenda Lawrence (D-MI) and Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) — to this discussion hosted by ADL and the National Urban League. Hear from these leaders as they discuss the liberation of Black Americans.

In a discussion moderated by the National Urban League’s Executive Director of the Washington Bureau and SVP of Policy and Advocacy Joi Chaney and ADL’s SVP of National Affairs George Selim, these legislative leaders will celebrate the political progress of Black Americans today, the importance of Juneteenth for all Americans and the collective steps that we can take as a nation to address racism in the United States.

This event will also highlight the alarming rise of racism and antisemitism and the Black and Jewish communities’ combined efforts to fight extremism and our shared dedication to rejecting bigotry; the Black-Jewish Caucus’ formation is a testament to this ongoing friendship.

We want you to be part of the conversation, so please bring your questions for the Q&A segment.
