Survivors deserve better.

Dear John,

Betsy DeVos is no longer at the Department of Education, but her Title IX regulations that made schools more dangerous are still in place.

It has been one year since the Biden administration hosted listening sessions to hear directly from students, administrators, parents and advocates about the harmful DeVos Title IX rule. The platform gave survivors and others an opportunity to share their experiences and recommendations to the administration on how schools can better respond to harassment. However, a year later, students are still suffering—and will continue to for many more months at least—because the Biden administration has failed to move forward in proposing changes to overturn DeVos’ harmful Title IX rules.

Students have waited long enough for this administration to take action. We need new Title IX rules that will protect student survivors now.

Tell President Biden to ACT NOW to Protect Student Survivors

Student survivors shouldn’t have to wait for Title IX protections.

TAKE ACTION

We need the Biden administration to release a proposed Title IX rule that will:

  • Undo the harmful Title IX rule created by Betsy DeVos and restore protections for student survivors.
  • Clarify that Title IX protects LGBTQIA+ students from discrimination.
  • Expand protections for pregnant and parenting students.

We cannot allow another school year to pass by with harmful, Trump-era rules in place. Student survivors should not have to wait one day longer to have their basic civil rights and protections upheld by the Biden administration.

Tell President Biden: Act to undo DeVos’ Title IX rules now.

We need the administration to keep their promise and act with urgency by ending the delays and proposing a new Title IX rule now.

Will you join us by sending a message to President Biden today?

In solidarity,

Emily Martin
