Hi, John!

I wanted to do a quick check-in after last week’s survey and thank everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to let me know how inflation is affecting you and your families.

After reading so many of your answers, it’s clear that Nebraskans really need help right now. Here are some of our neighbors’ concerns that really struck me:

“Medication costs. We both retired last year and the inflation is really hitting us hard — for everything!”

“Food prices, including food for pets!”

“The inflation cost in groceries has certainly cut down my trips to the store and what I purchase. Gas prices are starting to prevent me from seeing my partner of four years who lives in Lincoln.”

“I’ll turn 68 in a few days. Medicare is much more expensive than my Obamacare policy. Any increase in premiums – or cuts to Social Security – would be devastating.”

Nearly everyone who responded has been hurt by corporate price gouging and rising inflation, and our neighbors are making hard sacrifices just to keep their heads above water. That’s why I’m ready to tackle inflation on Day One in Congress.

I’ll work across the aisle to enact caps on medical and prescription costs here in Nebraska, and I’m ready to take on oil companies and multinational corporations to END predatory price gouging that is hurting our communities.

Nebraskans don’t stand by while our neighbors are calling for help. I’m running for Congress to make sure we all have the essentials we need to enjoy the full opportunity of the Good Life.
