Hey John, it's Jesse — I wanted to stop by with one last mid-month fundraising update for our movement.
We have just under 11 hours to reach our June mid-month goal of $10,000 to ensure that we have the resources we need to head into the end of the quarter. But I took a look at the numbers and as of this morning, we're still $5,172 behind our goal — that's more than half way.
So I'm reaching out in these final hours before midnight tonight to see if you could step up for our campaign with a donation of any amount towards our $10,000 goal. Will you rush a donation today to help us reach our goal?
To put it clearly: we need to pick up the pace, John. Reaching this goal is crucial to our ability to accurately plan ahead for our campaign, and ensure that Jamaal can focus 100% of his time on legislating — not fundraising.
As the campaign Finance Director, it's my responsibility to ensure that our campaign can continue to grow without having to rely on multi-millionaires and corporate PACs. And while this makes our fundraising a bit more difficult, Jamaal and I both have seen the true power of grassroots fundraising — and we have faith in the small-dollar donations that help keep our momentum growing.
