Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin have worked to strip the Biden agenda for parts. First, Manchin met with his buddies on Fox News to announce that he would oppose the Build Back Better bill. Then, Sinema went on the floor of the Senate that she would not support changing the filibuster under any circumstances.

By now, none of this behavior is surprising. We know Sinema and Manchin’s power comes from the unlimited corporate and special interest cash that they can fundraise at a moment’s notice, along with their willingness to leverage the slim Democratic majority in the Senate to make themselves richer.
