Today's letter is from one of you, a campaign supporter. Today we hear from Victoria Hall of Greenwood, Missouri about her trip to Iowa.

Dear John,

I feel pretty lucky to be part of the Marianne 2020 national volunteer social media and texting team. The Marianne supporters I've met online are like true friends. And volunteering virtually means I can watch and rewatch Marianne's speeches from my living room...but never in person.

When I heard Marianne was speaking in Nebraska—just a few hours from where I live—I decided I needed to be there. 

As I sat in the crowd watching Marianne for the first time, I was surrounded by nodding heads and the occasional outburst of "Yes!" and "Amen." The crowd was captivated by Marianne's truth-telling and enthusiastically cheered her on. Big truth gets big applause. 

While waiting to greet Marianne afterwards, I created a whole spiel: "Hi, I'm Victoria Hall. I'm a volunteer on your campaign Twitter team. I've been commenting on your Instagram posts and on your Twitter feed. You probably don't know me, but I've been following you online and..."

I started with "Hi!, I'm Victoria Hall," and Marianne cut in, "Victoria Hall? YOU'RE Victoria Hall? Oh! I feel like I know you."

That's right, Marianne Williamson, THE Marianne Williamson, knew who I was. 

I told Marianne that I hadn't known how to volunteer at a campaign event but I had cleared my schedule in case her team in Iowa needed more help.

Marianne immediately had me meet the Marianne 2020 Iowa Field Director. And for the next several days, I traveled with the campaign and got to see firsthand our democracy at work.

Going to Iowa made me realize how important it is for as many people as possible to hear Marianne while she is on the campaign trail. I want everyone to have the chance see Marianne live like I did.
