John,
Billionaires are buying elections. And with that money and power, they’re taking away critical resources, including funding for public education, from millions of children and families.
Check out our latest video report with our partners, The 99% Pennsylvania, where we speak directly with a parent from a school district in Pennsylvania, which has an 80% poverty rate, and hear how Wall Street billionaire Jeffrey Yass is buying their state senator in an attempt to privatize and underfund education.
“Myself and many other parents have attempted to meet with our senator, but literally in the past year the only bills I’ve seen him bring up are all privatization bills. Why was our senator not listening to us? Why was he not paying attention?”
-Susan Knoll, Lancaster School District Parent
Already this election cycle, Jeffrey Yass has spent at least $18 million in donations to candidates and super PACs.[1] He spent another $31 million in the 2020 election[2] bankrolling extreme Republican Super PACs to keep his taxes low while simultaneously advocating for the underfunding of public education.[3]
Help shine a spotlight on billionaire influence in our elections. Watch and share this new video to make sure millions of Americans see how billionaire money is corrupting our democracy and buying politicians.
Thank you for fighting for a future that includes all of us, not just millionaires and billionaires.
