Friend, gun violence is an epidemic. Thoughts and prayers aren't enough – we need to act, and we need to act NOW. 

But while a majority of Americans support gun reform legislation, such as universal background checks and bans on assault-style weapons, Republicans in Congress are stalling. There's no way around it, friend: Countless Americans will die while they do nothing.
