Republicans are launching a full-on DC-style ads campaign against Frank here in the First District. The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) actually put out a list of targets:

Heading in black text: "New NRCC Ads Target Vulnerable Democrats Over Record-High Gas Prices." Then the date "June 15, 2022" in smaller grey text. Then the words, "The ads will run in the following districts:" In red text, below that, there are the following districts and representatives listed: "CA-09 Josh Harder, IA-093 Cindy Axne, IN-01 Frank Mrvan, CA-26 Julia Brownley, CA-47 Katie Porter." Frank Mrvan's name in the list is circled with yellow marker.

John, we need to respond!

Looking at the numbers, it’s clear we need to ramp up our fundraising this week as the GOP fixates on the First District. The First District needs Frank — a Congressmember committed to protecting our steel and manufacturing industries, serving our communities, and being a unifying force in the House. The GOP knows we need Frank for these priorities, too. That’s why they are after him.

The DCCC just identified Frank’s race as a critical one to holding our House majority…but we’ve known for a long time here on the campaign just how much Frank’s service has made a difference in the First District of Indiana. The GOP knows too! That’s the only reason they’re coming here with an entire ads campaign.
