I was thrilled when the Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) voted to endorse my campaign for IL-01.
I am a longtime supporter of the hardworking and dedicated teachers, paraprofessionals, and clinicians who work tirelessly with and for our children in Chicago’s public schools.
Demanding the best for our children must be our top priority, including:
✅ Expanding universal pre-K to give young children a real head start
✅ Providing relief for college student loan debt
✅ Making community college free for low-income students
✅ Creating hands-on apprenticeships for high school seniors and community college students
✅ Funding afterschool programs for children of working families
✅ Modernizing our public school infrastructure
