Hi there, my name is Gabby Giffords. I'm a former congresswoman, and 11 years ago, my life was changed forever when I survived a mass shooting at a constituent event in my hometown. I turned my pain into purpose by becoming a national gun safety advocate.

It takes a strong team to take on tough fights like gun safety and I’m so proud to have Maura Healey by my side. As Attorney General, Maura has worked across party lines and with gun violence survivors to support common-sense gun reforms and take illegal guns off the streets. I know she’ll do the same as Governor, but first she has to win this important race.

Across the country, we’re witnessing the powerful impact that governors have on their states – and why we have to take races like Maura’s seriously.

Republican Governors like Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis have dismantled gun safety laws as gun violence rates climb around the country.

These kinds of attacks aren’t slowing down, but Maura has shown us she has what it takes to face these challenges head-on. As ‘the People’s Lawyer,’ Maura has:

- Advocated for strong gun laws, like banning bump stocks and expanding background checks.
- Stood up to the NRA and enforced Massachusetts’ assault weapons ban.
- Expand prevention education and summer job programs to support our young people.

I could go on and on about Maura’s accomplishments, but it all boils down to this: We need Maura’s leadership and fearlessness in the Governor’s Office.
