We don't want to cut back on our campaigning.
John -
You've seen it in the grocery store, and unfortunately, inflation is hurting us at 350.org too:
- It's getting more costly to stage our actions, send supplies to organizers, and run our campaigns.
- Fewer people are able to donate, and of the donations we do receive, the average contribution is lower than we'd like to see.
- Worst of all: inflation is helping Big Oil make record profits, creating an even bigger gap between our movement and the fossil fuel industry.
I'm writing to you today with a very specific request — but only if you're able to do so.
Can you make your first online contribution to 350.org? Chipping in $7 right now will go a long way in supporting our climate campaigning in the face of inflation.
CONTRIBUTE $7
When we set our budget each year, we try to account for a lot of factors for what can happen. Our number one goal is to deliver the most efficient, responsible climate campaigning from the gifts we receive.
What makes our current situation more difficult is that for every dollar that inflation is affecting our campaigning, Big Oil is pocketing another dollar. It's a gap we don't want to get too big.
Times are tough for a lot of people, but if you're able to do so, we have to ask:
Can you make your first contribution of $7 to support our climate campaigning at 350.org? Add your contribution of whatever you can afford right here.
Thank you so much for contributing if you can. It means a lot to our work together.
In solidarity,
Monica Hollander
