Dear John,
It’s here! Giving Tuesday is a global day for collaboration, generosity, and service. Today, millions of people like you will come together to support causes you care about.
John, we sure hope Farm Sanctuary will be one of them, because we’ve set a Giving Tuesday goal of $32,818: the cost of running the organization for one full day.
We know that friends like you have numerous groups competing for your attention today, so we’re thrilled to tell you that a generous donor has stepped forward to match your gift dollar for dollar, up to $30,000—DOUBLING your impact on our work to save animals like Reiman and Taylor from cruelty and crisis.
John, I know how much you care about the well-being of farm animals. Please join Farm Sanctuary today and make your gift go TWICE as far in improving the lives of farm animals around the country—donate to Farm Sanctuary before midnight!

Who are Reiman and Taylor, you ask? They’re a pair of Boer goats who were rescued from the subway tracks—yes, you read that right—in New York City.
Found trotting along Brooklyn’s N train tracks, the terrified goats were rescued by authorities and delivered to the Animal Care Centers of NYC before being transferred to Cornell University’s Nemo Farm Animal Hospital.
While a surprise to NYC commuters, the goats’ ordeal was not unfamiliar to Farm Sanctuary. Animals frequently escape live markets and land on dangerous city streets; the boys could have been struck or electrified on those tracks, as well. When the pair arrived at Cornell, Taylor had a severe upper respiratory condition and both goats had portions of their ears cut off.
Today, Reiman and Taylor are happy, healthy residents of our Watkins Glen sanctuary. But their fate might have been very different, if it weren’t for the caring support of friends like you!
Help us reach our $32,818 Giving Tuesday goal by joining Farm Sanctuary today, so we can save more abused and abandoned animals like Reiman and Taylor. Remember, your gift will be matched dollar for dollar today ONLY—so don’t wait!

John, Giving Tuesday is the perfect day to imagine Farm Sanctuary’s ideal world: A world without factory farms or stockyards, slaughterhouses or warehouses. A world in which animals aren’t treated like commodities—their beaks and toes cut off, their babies torn away, or their bodies manipulated for commercial gain to the point where they can’t walk or even turn around, much less roam freely.
Your support enables us to do the day-in, day-out work toward making that world a reality. We’re incredibly grateful—and hopeful—that you’ll stretch that generosity a little further by joining Farm Sanctuary today, while your gift will be DOUBLED.
Thank you so much for making Farm Sanctuary a Giving Tuesday priority. Together, we will end the inhumane treatment and slaughter of beautiful animals like Reiman and Taylor once and for all.
