COVID-19 Vaccine Booster [ [link removed] ]

Studies show that after getting vaccinated against COVID-19, the ability to prevent infection and protection against the virus and its variants may decrease over time. Booster doses provide necessary protection against waning immunity.

Booster shots are available to everyone 12 and older:

* Two months after their one-dose Johnson & Johnson shot, or
* Five months after their last Pfizer shot or Moderna shot.

At this time, only the Pfizer vaccine is authorized and recommended for adolescents aged 12 through 17.

A second booster is also available for certain immunocompromised individuals and people over the age of 50 who received a previous booster dose at least 4 months ago.

Find out where you can get your booster shot on the NJ Website through the *Vaccine Finder [ [link removed] ]**.* Search for available vaccine appointments across the State and find a location suitable for you.
