reengage this crucial voting bloc!

Folks,

In non-presidential years, fewer people turn out to vote. Last year was no different. While we saw record turnout numbers for a Virginia Gubernatorial election, turnout still paled in comparison to 2020, especially among younger Virginians. We need to engage young voters across the Commonwealth to replicate the successes we had in previous years. Chip in now to help Virginia Democrats turn out the youth vote in November!

The youth vote (18-40) had a 41.6% drop in turnout between 2020 and 2021. If we want to avoid a repeat of last year’s results, we need to meet voters where they are, explain why the Democratic Party is the party that represents them, and reenergize those young voters who stayed home last year. It could be the difference between victories for Elaine Luria, Abigail Spanberger, and Jennifer Wexton this year and an obstructionist GOP in control of Congress next year.

DPVA is working on implementing plans to register more young voters across the Commonwealth, and not just on college campuses. To rebuild that voting constituency of young Democratic voters, we need your support - will you chip in $10 right now to help us increase youth turnout in 2022?
