I’ve spent my life spreading the gospel of the power of capitalism and the goodness and opportunity this country has to offer.
When I was elected to represent House District 64 in 2006, I was the very first Republican to hold the seat. At the age of 33, I became the youngest person elected as Speaker of the state House in the reddest place in the country, a nationwide first. |
During my time in the state legislature, I successfully… - Led Oklahoma’s fight to repeal affirmative action, which puts students’ skin color over merit.
-
Reformed our welfare system and successfully mandated a 20-hour workweek for able-bodied adult recipients – which became the national model.
- Passed legislation that provided a first-in-the-nation $5K tax deduction to parents of foster children.
- Passed a tax cut to put more money in the pockets of everyday Oklahomans.
- Balanced the Oklahoma state budget.
And when President Trump needed someone to step up and replace Herman Cain as the national chair of Black Voices for Trump, I was there, ready to help. |
Even though I’ve been successful in the legislative arena, I’ve also had great success in the private sector. I started my own public relations consulting firm, Shannon Strategies, which I managed for 10 years. And then I went back to my banking roots and led the investment team at Premier Consulting.
For the last 5 years, I was CEO of a Community Bank in Oklahoma City. In my first year as CEO, the bank grew 45%, from $130 million in assets to nearly a half-billion in assets – an accomplishment I’m extremely proud of.
What makes my story so remarkable, friend, is that the woke Left tells people who look like me that achieving the American Dream is impossible, yet here I am!
|
Friend, I’m running for the U.S. Senate so I can take on the woke Left, tell our kids the truth about America, and fight for the America First agenda.
Can I count on your support? |
Thank you for going All In for America, |
T.W. Shannon
