Dear Friend,

For a hungry, cold, neglected puppy, a timely visit from a PETA fieldworker could
be the difference between life and death.

Our team members were delivering straw to help cold dogs in rural North Carolina
when they spotted this little one—only a few months old—cowering in a backyard.

His body showed signs of the lifetime of neglect that he'd already endured. His
tail had been badly docked, and his ribs protruded prominently through his
skin—likely from not having a nourishing meal since the day he was born.

Thousands of neglected dogs like him rely on PETA every year for compassion and
care. As you read this, many others are still waiting—and this #GivingTuesday,
you can help more of them than ever before.

Will you change the life of an animal in need this #GivingTuesday by making a
special gift right now?

If we receive 2,500 donations by midnight tonight, a committed PETA donor will
give an additional $25,000 to help our team accomplish even more for dogs and
other animals in need.

Our fieldworkers were able to gain custody of the young dog pictured above and
gave him the food, veterinary attention, and affection that he'd been longing
for. Today, he's in a foster home with one of our local shelter partners while
he waits for a loving permanent home, but sadly, his story isn't all that unique.

Your gift today—even as little as $5—can still make a world of difference to a
dog like Little Man, seen below.

The only protection Little Man had from the freezing temperatures and icy rain
was a leaking plastic barrel shoved in the corner of a lonely backyard.

Today, that decrepit barrel has been replaced by a sturdy custom-built PETA
doghouse that will help him survive the many long, cold winter nights to come.

Your special gift this #GivingTuesday can help unlock our $25,000 matching-gift
offer and power our work to reach more lonely, neglected "backyard dogs"—and dogs
like Roxy, pictured below, with the urgent care that they need.

While Roxy had spent her life indoors, this beloved dog had never been spayed.
She developed a dangerous and potentially deadly condition called pyometra.
Without a moment to lose, we arranged an urgent spay surgery for her. Today,
she's back with her family and well on the road to recovery, but many other dogs
are in danger and need the same emergency help.

Every single day, PETA fieldworkers and animal-care experts provide dogs like
Roxy with a lifeline— and today is your chance to have a profound impact on this
vital work.

Please don’t wait! We need the help of every caring PETA supporter we can to secure 2,500
contributions by midnight tonight and unlock a special $25,000 matching gift for
#GivingTuesday. Whatever you can give—even $5—will help.
