It's an honor to be the Democratic nominee for governor of Georgia — and now that the general election is in full swing, we know we have a lot of work ahead of us. This race is one of the most closely watched elections this year, and you and I both know Brian Kemp and the GOP will do whatever it takes to win. They've spent years undermining the right to vote, targeting Black and brown communities.

Especially now, with the Supreme Court likely on the verge of overturning Roe v. Wade, there is so much on the line this election — and we don't have much room for error. President Biden won Georgia by less than 12,000 votes, the closest margin of victory percentage-wise in the country. That means every conversation with a voter, every TV or radio ad, every grassroots supporter and every single donation matters.

This work will take all of us, John.  That’s why I am asking you to join me today by splitting a donation of $1 – or as much as you can spare — between my campaign and the Democratic Governors Association so that we can defeat right-wing extremists like Brian Kemp and expand our blue firewall. Every DGA donation up to the DGA's $50,000 mid-month goal will be matched.

We know far-right folks like Kemp are dangerous – but we also know how to defeat them. And after years of organizing, we saw the fruits of our labor in 2020 when we flipped Georgia blue and sent President Biden to the White House and again in 2021 when we won two historic Senate races. Now, we're going to build on that progress by defeating Brian Kemp and winning Georgians the leadership and the future we all deserve.

With Republican governors and GOP state legislatures launching dangerous attacks on reproductive rights and voting rights across the country as they refuse to expand access to health care as a whole and pass draconian gun laws, we are counting on grassroots supporters in every state to keep fighting for progress.

But we do not win these fights without real, meaningful investments from folks like you.
