Just after the primary results were tallied last week, the elections analysts at RealClearPolitics officially listed our race as a TOSS UP. This is the second reputable publication calling our race a coin-flip, and it's another proof point that we’re headed for a tough general election contest.

Here's the truth:

Despite the fact that new electoral maps made our district redder, we actually delivered a strong performance in the primary election. But because the November midterms are expected to be difficult for Democrats, Kevin McCarthy and his super PAC allies still haven’t backed off their promise to throw the kitchen sink at us.
