Raskin: ‘Trump Will Have His Comeuppance’ Over 1/6 Assault

Tuesday on MSNBC’s The ReidOut, Trump Derangement Syndrome sufferer Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) threatened that former President Trump will face justice for being the “motor behind” the chaos at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Host Joy Reid, the most racist hatemonger in the leftist media, asked, “Can you prosecute anyone below Donald Trump for seditious conspiracy and leave him out, and if he were prosecuted, how would that even work constitutionally, and how would that play out?”

Raskin replied, “I think that he was the motor behind the whole plot.” I think. In other words, Raskin has no evidence whatsoever, but he wants Trump to be guilty.

Asked if Trump will face legal consequences, Raskin said, “Well, you know, I think Donald Trump will have his comeuppance. I think that you know, like with Dr. King, ‘The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.’ I think there will be justice for everyone who set these events into motion.”

Yes, hopefully there will be justice for everyone who perpetrated this January 6 Deep State setup and who, like Raskin and Reid, has exploited it to demonize Trump and his supporters as domestic terrorists.

He continued: “I mean, people were killed. People died.”

The only people who died were Trump supporters. Unarmed protester Ashli Babbitt was shot dead by Capitol police.

Raskin added, “We had an interruption of the counting of electoral college votes for the first time in American history.”

Yes, because widespread Democrat voter fraud clearly skewed the results.

“We had a violent assault on the peaceful transfer of power, destroying the peaceful part and interrupting the transfer of power for many hours,” Raskin continued to lie. There was no insurrection to overturn the election.

“I mean, this was an unprecedented and extremely dangerous situation that could have led to anything from martial law to civil war,” he blathered.

Americans are already in a not-so-cold civil war, between patriots who want to make America great again and left-wing subversives who have vowed to “fundamentally transform” this country into a totalitarian, one-party state.

Raskin Leads the Second Senate Impeachment Trial of Donald Trump

In February 2021, Raskin was the lead House Manager of the second Senate impeachment trial of President Trump, who had been out of office since January 20.

Blaming Trump’s rhetoric for having sparked the infamous January 6, 2021 incident where hundreds of people claiming to be Trump supporters had temporarily occupied the Capitol building in Washington, D.C., Raskin and the House Democrats focused on the president’s call for his supporters to “fight like hell” when protesting the results of the disputed 2020 election. “He told them to fight like hell, and they brought us hell on that day,” said Raskin. The congressman also declared: “An examination of [Trump’s] past statements makes it clear that when Donald Trump tells a crowd as he did on January 6, ‘Fight like hell,’ where you won’t have a country anymore, he meant for them to fight like hell.”

But in fact, Raskin and many other Democrats also had a long history of using precisely the same slogan and rhetoric on social media or in television appearances. In short, Raskin and the Democrats were claiming that President Trump was not entitled to the same free-speech rights as they were. This prompted Trump attorney Michael van der Veen to say: “Yesterday, in questioning [by the Senate], House Manager Raskin admitted that House Democrats had invented an entirely new legal standard. In fact, they have created a new legal theory—the Raskin Doctrine. The Raskin doctrine is based on nothing more than determining protected speech based on the party label next to your name…. [I]f you pay close attention, you will see [that] any speech by Democrat elected officials is protected speech, while any speech made by Republicans elected officials is not protected. The creation of the Raskin Doctrine actually reveals the weakness of the House managers’ case.” In response, Raskin joked that he was honored to have a doctrine named after him...
