I worked as a financial consultant for hospitals, helping serve their finances and the communities they treat. Later taking on humanitarian work to help my community thrive through responsible financial practices. And now, as a State Treasurer, I've helped Delaware turn a $225 million shortfall from the COVID-19 pandemic into a $1.12 billion surplus in 2021, further ensuring that state services are met, schools are funded and our capital infrastructure maintained.
Our dollars should be working towards our future. I've negotiated some of the nation's lowest fees for financial services while securing the highest return on investment in recent history.
I will continue to fight hard for working families through my experience and determination.
