This weekend, Angelenos celebrated Pride! LA holds the honor of holding the first LGBTQ Pride parade in the world and this year’s celebration was extra special after the pandemic put a pause on the festivities for the past couple years.

Pride is a time to celebrate the diverse and vibrant LGBTQ+ community while never forgetting the injustices of the past and present.

As a Vice-Chair of the Congressional LGBTQ+ Equality Caucus with a perfect voting record from the Human Rights Campaign, I am committed to standing up for the LGBTQ+ community. At a time when Republicans are trying to roll back the clock on hard-fought rights, it’s more important than ever that we stand together and fight back.
