I have had the honor of serving in the House with Congressman Bishop since I was elected to the House in 2012. I have witnessed him fight not only for Georgia’s 2nd Congressional District, but for all Americans. That is why we have to re-elect Congressman Bishop to the House. Can we count on your support to help re-elect Congressman Bishop before his $3,000 mid-month goal at 11:59 p.m. tonight?

As members of the Congressional Black Caucus, Congressman Bishop and I have worked together to support legislation like the EQUAL Act, which would eliminate the federal crack and powdered cocaine sentencing disparity and provide retroactive relief to those already sentenced. We’ve stood together to help pass Democratic legislation like the American Rescue Plan and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that has changed millions of American families’ lives. 

And we’ve voted together for legislation like the Equality Act, Universal Background Checks, Build Back Better, and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, which were unfortunately not able to get to President Biden’s desk due to Republican obstruction.

And that’s why if we want to continue on this path of progress, maintain our gains, and do even more in our pursuit of a more equal country, re-electing Congressman Bishop to represent Georgia’s 2nd Congressional District and expanding our Democratic control of the House is crucial.
