I only have about 10 spare minutes this evening, team — and I want to spend that time sharing what I’ve been up to lately before tonight’s mid-month deadline, so you know how much of a difference your grassroots support makes.

It’s thanks to this grassroots movement that I am in the People’s House advocating for bold, progressive change.

Last week, we passed the Protecting Our Kids Act in the House to finally begin addressing the gun violence crisis in our country.

And with student loan debt payments set to resume in September, I’ve been leading efforts for transparency from the Biden administration on when and how they will carry out President Biden’s executive order to cancel some student loan debt. No one should be forced to choose between putting food on the table or defaulting on their student loans, and this order would bring relief to millions of Americans whose dreams have been put on hold by student debt.

We also just celebrated the 10th anniversary of DACA, despite Republicans’ many attempts to dismantle it. DACA is just the start and I’m fighting every day to transform our broken immigration system and provide real pathways to citizenship.

Lastly, we just hired more organizers to help meet our goal of knocking on every single door in Minnesota’s Fifth District and reaching people with our progressive message. A strong organizing team can make all the difference, like we saw back in 2020 when you sent me back to Congress and helped Democrats win the White House. It’s crucial that we keep up this work as this race heats up.
